So, I always have very out-of-the-blue thoughts/realizations and this is one of them: I'm quite active in a handful of social networks and I think I'm a different person in each one. Omigod, am I weird?
Here's a summary of a very cliche "different sides of me":
Facebook: The Good Girl/Daughter/Niece
Instagram: Feeling Foodie/Frustrated Baker/Artist or Calligrapher Wannabe
Pinterest: Fashionista Wannabe/Dream Builder via Wishlists (Pin/Boards)
Shelfari: Classic Bookworm
Tumblr: Damsel-in-Distress/Depressed Forever-Alone Nobody
Twitter: Medyo "Conyo" Hipster/Antisocial Freak Who Rants About Everything
Oh god, I'm weird. Haha!

Viva Il Papa!
I am so happy and grateful that for the past few days the whole country welcomed our dear Pope Francis with open arms and sincere hearts. God has truly blessed the Philippines for endowing us this precious opportunity. Everything I see on the news, Twitter and Facebook has something to do with the papal visit and my heart warms tremendously whenever I see Pope Francis' jolly face. Even if I am not given the chance to see him in the flesh, I am already joyful and filled with gratitude and love. I know I am already beyond blessed merely because Pope Francis has showed us how he cares and cherishes every single child of God, even the non-believers. He does not single out any person, and that's one of the great things I love about him. May the Philippines continue to show compassion, respect, discipline and love towards one another. I hope everyone, especially the VIPs like the government officials, would not only act his/her very best because of Pope Francis. Not only that, the rest of the world is in an arm's length and is observant of the country's behavior. I hope this is a beginning of change, where people would be open-minded and act accordingly because it is the right thing to do, not because everyone is watching.

An Apparent Proof of an Overstayed Vacation At Home
P.S. Please don't judge a certain homebody...
Home is where you're totally
broke
Home is where your groceries
are free, thank goodness
Home is where you're
roommates with your siblings
Home is where you fight with
your roommates
Home is where you make up and
laugh with them after an hour
Home is where "distance
makes the heart grow fonder" makes sense (if you know what I mean)
Home is where you're
perfectly comfy with staying in
Home is where boredom strikes like all the time
Home is where you're so bored
you paint watercolor (and your nails)
Home is where you can cook
what you want to eat (mostly eggs and anything fried though)
Home is where you can bake
anything you want, even if you're a frustrated baker
Home is where you don't go to
Jollibee when you don't know what to have for dinner
Home is where you eat more
than one rice and a little piece of meat
Home is where you eat fish
(because you know it's safe to eat)
Home is where you have to
wash a pile of dirty dishes
Home is where you may or may
not take a shower once a day
Home is where you tie your
unruly hair in a messy bun and not even care a little
Home is where you can dress
up like a cliche "labandera"
Home is where you don't have
to do your own laundry (unless your mom tells you to)
Home is where your mother
yells at you frequently for being lazy
Home is where you can be lazy
and no one will judge you (your family not counted)
Home is when you literally go out of the house only one time in a whole week
Home is when you stay up
all night
Home is when you sleep until
noon
Home is where you kinda miss
staying up for something productive like an exam (uh, maybe)
Home is where the most
productive thing you do on a weekday is make merienda for everyone
Home is when you spend
Sundays with a complete attendance in the house
Home is when you attend Holy
mass with your family (and not completely alone with strangers)
Home is where you're slightly
the stranger
Home is where it's always
better than being in a dorm no matter what
Home is where you de-stress
yourself
Home is where you can
stress-eat by rummaging through cabinets and the fridge
Home is where you don't
have to run to a cafe to buy a slice of cheesecake
Home is where you eat too
much dessert
Home is where you just wanna
stay everyday
But, no matter how sweet life
is to be home,
Home is where you miss school and your college life away from
home.
(Never thought I'd say that again after having four months of summer vacation last year. But somehow this academic shift, where sembreak and Christmas break are merged, made this break feel like it's way too long!!)
